What our byline means
Articles credited to House Leases Editorial Desk use an organizational byline. It identifies the publication responsible for the page; it does not claim that a particular person wrote it, personally tested a product, visited a place, used a service, or that this site employs a staffed newsroom.
We do not invent human authors, biographies, credentials or first-person experiences. A named individual byline should appear only when that person has accepted responsibility for the article and any stated experience is accurate.
AI and editorial tools
Drafting, editing, research organization and illustrative artwork may involve AI-assisted tools. Tool use is not evidence that a claim is true. Legacy content is being reviewed against this policy, and material claims should be supported, qualified or removed before readers are asked to rely on them.
Rankings and hands-on claims
A ranking is an editorial comparison, not proof that every item was personally tested. Pages should explain their criteria and distinguish sourced facts from opinion. We use first-person testing or experience language only when a real contributor can verify it.
Sources, dates and corrections
Facts that can change should be dated and linked to a suitable source where practical. High-impact medical, legal, financial, housing and employment information requires especially careful qualification and authoritative sourcing. To report an error, request a correction or ask how a conclusion was reached, email [email protected]. Substantive corrections should be reflected in the article's updated date.
Commercial relationships
Some pages let readers request contact from an independent provider. We may receive a referral fee from some providers. A listing is not a guarantee, endorsement, approval or promise of results. The provider supplies its own current terms, pricing, qualifications and privacy information.
Images
Some decorative or conceptual images may be generated or digitally composited. They are illustrations, not documentary evidence. Third-party photographs and artwork should carry the credit or licence information required by their source.
